Is Doug Pitt Ready for a Brangelina Wedding?

By

Brad Pitt's younger brother Doug Pitt is getting a taste of the spotlight himself due to a hilarious Australian Virgin Mobile ad following his life as "the second most famous Pitt in the family" that quickly went viral, and he recently sat down with ET's Christina McLarty to talk about his newfound fame, his passion for charity work, and if he's prepared for what's sure to be one of the biggest celebrity weddings of all time -- the marriage of his brother Brad to Angelina Jolie.

"I had no idea it [the Virgin Mobile commercial] would hit the States to begin with -- only 10 people knew including my immediate family, so when the phone started ringing and emails started coming in, I did panic a little bit. That's the truth," Doug admits about all the attention the campaign has received. "But it's out there and luckily, people think it's funny, and they should."

Much like Brad, Doug is heavily involved in charity work, particularly the organization Care to Learn which provides immediate funding and action to meet any emergent health, hunger, or hygiene issue and restore a child’s self-respect so they can get back in the classroom. He is also involved in WorldServe International, which provides water and sanitation solutions in developing countries with its own Africa-based water resource development company. He was honored for his charity work and named Goodwill Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania by President Jakaya Kikwete in 2010.

"I think you gotta give mom and dad credit," he says about his and Brad's passion for charity work. "It's not one of those things where you kind of look at it, you turn the page and there it happened. I'm lucky that career-wise I've been able to baby-step into it, and you know, some things choose you too."

And while Doug remains carefully mum about the celebrity wedding everyone has been waiting for, he does say that he will be ready for the Brangelina nuptials whenever the time comes.

"No discussion, no plans, no details," he says about being kept in the dark about any possible wedding plans. "That's on their schedule ... you respond if they call."
