Besides for her starring role in the upcoming release of Star Trek Into Darkness, Zoe Saldana has recently made headlines for her bold topless Allure photo shoot and equally bold statement in the magazine that she is “open to being with women.”

On the red carpet of the second installment of the Star Trek franchise, ET's Rocsi Diaz caught up with the brunette beauty and asked her if her statement in the magazine was at all taken out of context.

"I said it and they literally put it word for word. I guess what I was trying to let the world understand is that it's everybody’s decision to do whatever they want to do and who they love is their own personal decision."

In the magazine, Saldana, 34, describes herself as "androgynous." She adds that one day she might "end up with a woman raising my children...that's how androgynous I am!" When asked to clarify if she was open to the idea of raising a child with another woman as her partner? She said, "Yes, I was raised that open."
