Now that she has been slated as No. 1 on Maxim's Hot 100 list, Miley Cyrus tells ET what the honor means to her and why she thinks she was selected to top the list.
"It's amazing," Cyrus says of the tribute. "I said it in my article: I think it's every girl's dream to be able to say that they got number one in 'Maxim's' 100, and it's kind of a once-in-a-lifetime thing, so it's just insane."
Past Hot 100 toppers include Jessica Alba, Jennifer Garner, Marisa Miller, Olivia Wilde, Katy Perry, and Bar Refaeli. The only woman to top the list twice is Eva Longoria, who received the honor consecutively in 2005 and 2006.
The 20-year-old singer, who topped Jennifer Lawrence, Mila Kunis, Rihanna, and Selena Gomez in the top five for the peak spot, revealed why she believes she was chosen as No. 1.
"It's really because of the fans," the former Hannah Montana actress attested. "I would like to think it's because I'm the most gorgeous woman in the world but it's because of my fans, really. So, it's awesome."
Although Cyrus' fans may have helped her earn the title, it was ultimately her physical appearance that warranted the honor. The Nashville native, who cut off her luscious locks for a cropped 'do last summer, shared a few of her beauty tips.
"I think just never trying too hard," she said. "...My favorite thing is I love having short hair. I love it being just all about being confident and giving face. I love that."
Also making this year's Maxim Hot 100 was ET's own Rocsi Diaz, who chimed in at No. 86 on the list.
"Me? They got the right person?" Rocsi said of her reaction to being informed of making the list. "I had no idea. I was completely flattered. ... I didn't make homecoming queen in high school; I didn't make prom queen, [but] I made the 'Maxim' 100 list. That's vindication."
