According to the news source, a publicist for Atlantic Records confirmed the news that Bernadette passed away at Queens Medical Center in Honolulu following a brain aneurysm.
Bernadette was a hula dancer and a singer and has been credited with encouraging her children's love of music.
According to Rolling Stone, Mars has four sisters who form the music group Lylas and a brother who plays drums for Mars' band.
