Exclusive: Melissa J. Hart Dishes on Weight Loss

Melissa Joan Hart welcomed her third child just nine months ago, but you would hardly believe it by looking at the slim, trim star of Melissa & Joey.

ET caught up with the mom of three on the set of her new commercial for Nutrisystem, the program she credits for her quick rebound after baby, to learn why she chose to became the latest celebrity face (and body) for the brand.

"I'm the kind of girl that likes to go out to eat, and I like looking at a menu," said Hart of the challenges she faced when trying traditional, restrictive diets before she discovered Nutrisystem.

While Janet Jackson and Marie Osmond have sung their praises for Nutrisystem in the past, Hart tells us she relied on the testimony of a family member before taking the plunge.

"My husband's sister actually lost a lot of weight with Nutrisystem and I'd heard rave reviews from everybody about it so I tried the system," she revealed. "It's simple and delicious and it fits with my lifestyle."

Now 30 pounds lighter and at her goal weight, Hart tells ET she's so overjoyed with the results and plans on staying on the program indefinitely to maintain her figure.
