Bethany -- who recounted in the book and movie Soul Surfer her inspirational story about how she recovered from a 2003 shark attack in which she lost her left arm -- also revealed how she's managed to keep her faith and overcome insecurities.

"I always felt it would be hard for me to meet someone because I'm different," said Bethany, who met her fiancé Adam on a blind date in May 2012.  "To say I was completely comfortable looking at myself in the mirror and seeing one arm would be a lie. I just had to trust in God and know that he had someone special for me."
