According to his booking sheet, the Girls Gone Wild creator was arrested this morning and released at 5 p.m.

This news comes after Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Nancy L. Newman sentenced him to 270 days in jail and three years probation for assault and false imprisonment of three women.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Francis was accused of assaulting a woman at his Los Angeles mansion in 2011. The victims reportedly told police that they followed Francis to his limo after a night on the town, believing that he would drop them off at their car. When the group arrived at Francis's property, he allegedly tried to pull one of the women away from the group and slammed her head into the floor four times.

UPDATE:
In response to his sentence Girls Gone Wild creator Joe Francis exclusively told ET, “I'm 100 percent innocent and we will fight this through the appeal. I'll remain out of custody until this is resolved and [it] could take between 2 and 4 years. I am confident that this matter will be resolved in my favor.”
