Robin Quivers Reveals Battle With Cancer

Howard Stern's sidekick Robin Quivers revealed on Monday's SiriusXM radio show that she's been battling cancer after being absent from the show for over a year.

The 61-year-old radio personality revealed that it began when she "couldn't urinate." In May 2012, it was reported that Quivers was having a procedure for a tumor on her bladder. "When I went into the operating room, I didn't know what was going to happen," she revealed, adding that she was aware she did have cancer but was unsure of where it had spread. It ended up she had cancer in the tissue in her uterus.

"I was quite upset as you can imagine," Stern confessed upon hearing the news. "I gotta be honest, I thought she was a goner."

Quivers underwent several treatments for her cancer over the past year, including chemotherapy, and now, doctors believe that she's cancer free.

Stern, 59, explained why they kept Quivers' diagnosis private, saying that they just didn't want people contacting her as she was going through this health issue.
