Stern Says Quivers' Cancer was 'A Nightmare'

Recently, Howard Stern's longtime radio partner Robin Quivers, who had been absent from Stern's SiriusXM show for over a year, revealed she had been battling bladder cancer that could have easily killed her.

Quivers spent the year undergoing a variety of cancer treatments including chemotherapy and surgery, and thankfully her physicians believe that she's now cancer free.

"Robin had a very life-threatening disease. She had cancer. And, you know, I think we were very, very lucky. In her case she had excellent care, great doctors, and she pulled through," Stern told ET during a recent press interview in which Stern was promoting America's Got Talent.

"She is miraculously cured. And I don't mean remission, she's cured. And she had one of the most sever cancers that anyone could have. She's doing fabulously well now."

When asked about how difficult the year has been, Stern responded, "I can't speak for Robin, but you can imagine. But for me it was a nightmare."

Robin talked about the ordeal on Stern's satellite radio show. Stern told the media that they had kept Quiver's situation private so that she wouldn't be bothered while dealing with the already stressful medical issue.
