Kanye West Charged with Assault

The Los Angeles City Attorney confirms to ET that Kanye West has been charged with two misdemeanor charges stemming from an altercation with a paparazzo on July 19.
The incident took place at Los Angeles International Airport where West allegedly attacked a photographer, trying to wrestle the camera away from him.
One of the charges is listed as assault while the other is for attempted grand theft. Each charge carries a maximum six-month jail sentence.
West's arraignment is scheduled for October 10.
