Amanda Bynes is recovering nicely, according to a spokesperson over at Miracles Utah Fitness Retreat.

"She wanted to focus on her health and getting her body back in shape," the retreat's owner Austan Torson told People. "Her main goal was to lose 5 lbs. and she did."

The $3,250-a-week center has the 27-year-old What I Like About You star teamed up with 15 other people to do daily exercises (including snowshoeing), as well as attend lectures on nutrition. The facility also provides healthy meals. "She brought a lot of life to the program," added Torson. "She was really funny, fired up and open to anything."

Bynes, who has been recovering at her parents' home, hit the snow before beginning school at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Orange County, Calif. This all comes after the actress was forcibly hospitalized back in July following a driveway fire incident. She was later moved to a treatment center in Malibu, Calif., and was released in Dec. 2013. Her mother Lynn remains in indefinite control over Bynes' finances and well-being.
