The Times quoted Police Commander Andy Smith as saying there were indications of an altercation at the scene, but no further details were provided. ET was not able to independently confirm the facts reported by the LA Times and has requested a comment from his rep on the incident.

During the past year, Efron made headlines for reportedly breaking his jaw after slipping in a puddle of water at his home and also was questioned about rumors that he had gone to rehab.
