It was just last year that Lupita Nyong'o was Hollywood's rising star tackling her first red carpet award season with style and grace. It looks like she's applying that same resilience in a video the Oscar winner shared on Instagram posing with a snake!
The footage was taken when Nyong'o shot her spread for the July issue of Vogue. In the video the cover girl holding the slimy reptile in preparation for a photo, and the second it's taken away from her, she darts into a forest.

Nyong'o explained in the accompanying caption, "@voguemagazine @bts: rehearsal for the snake shot. Nobody said being on the cover would be easy. #FightYourFearAndWin."

She may have been terrified but you wouldn't be able to tell in the gorgeous final photo from the shoot. Lupita looks calm and collected as she goes face-to-face with the snake. It's no wonder she collected so many acting accolades including the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress!
In the issue on newsstands now, Nyong'o spoke about her rise to stardom, battling the red carpet, and her Oscar win. She can now add facing her fear of snakes to the list.
