Robin Roberts' Alleged Stalker Arrested, ABC Reacts
A man believed to be homeless was arrested on Monday for allegedly stalking Good Morning America host Robin Roberts, the New York Daily Newsreports.
According to the news source, Troy Warren, 43, visited the set of the ABC morning show several times in June, demanding to see Roberts, 53. On Monday, he was charged with fourth-degree stalking and held at the Manhattan Detention Center.
"The safety and security of the entire GMA family is a priority and we are grateful for the Disney security team and their vigilance," said a rep from ABC. "We broadcast from Times Square, one of the busiest areas of Manhattan, and are lucky to have the support of NYPD in ensuring the safety of our employees and audience."
This arrest comes after a man was apprehended outside the GMA set on July 1. Twenty-five-year-old Andre Johnson reportedly pulled a knife out on a security guard and claimed that he wanted to kill Michael Strahan. Johnson was charged with a felony attempt of assault and menacing and criminal possession of a weapon. Strahan, 42, was not there when the incident took place.
