Wiz Khalifa Concert-Goer Fatally Shot at Show

An unidentified man was reportedly shot while backstage at the show.

A 38-year-old man has died after attending a Wiz Khalifa concert on Friday. Police reported shots were fired at the Shoreline Amphitheatre where Wiz performed in front of 22,000 fans in Mountain View, California. The victim was reportedly backstage.

Today, Wiz tweeted that his UTIOM show is canceled due to the situation and he had this to say about violence.

Live Nation also sent out a message regarding tonight's cancellation, "Due to an active investigation at the Shoreline Amphitheatre stemming from an incident after last night's performance, tonight's Under Of The Influence of Music Tour show in Chula Vista, CA has been cancelled and will not be rescheduled…. We abhor violence, of any kind. We continue to cooperate with authorities in their investigation into last night's isolated incident.”

Police are currently investigating the situation as they search for motive and the connection between the victim and the concert. At this time, police are seeking witnesses who may have any more information.

Police spokesperson Shino Tanaka told Oakland's KTVU, "We will definitely try to determine how the individual was able to bring a firearm into Shoreline."
