Based on the Broadway musical, Into the Woods follows the classic tales of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk and Rapunzel, when a baker (James Corden) and his wife (Blunt) want to begin a family despite their interaction with a witch (Streep), who put a curse on them.

Streep told ET what drew her to the role, saying, "I've been offered many witches over the years, starting when I was 40, and I said no to all of them, but this was really fun because it played with the notion of what witches mean."

Into the Woods opens Christmas Day.
