Jim Carrey isn't taking any chances when it comes to the Ebola outbreak.

The Dumb and Dumber Tostar showed up on the Late Show with David Letterman on Wednesday and, as a "precaution," decided to take the host's temperature before furthering the interview. The funnyman then went into asking Letterman a series of questions one would be asked in order to detect the Ebola virus.

"Have you traveled abroad lately?" Carrey begins the questioning. Letterman nods his head "no."

The 52-year-old actor continues, "Have you ever kissed a monkey or licked an airport toilet seat?" The host considers the question and admits that he may have done one or both of those things.

Carrey's final inquiry had nothing to do with Ebola but rather another big news story. He asked, "Have you ever or do you ever plan to be a member of ISIS?" Laughing with the thermometer in his mouth, Letterman, 67, nods in disagreement.

So, what's his temperature? "Oh, 55 degrees just like the studio," Carrey quips. Letterman's studio is known for being freezing.

When asked if Carrey was concerned about traveling abroad to promote the Dumb and Dumber To film, he jokes, "Once you've done a few press tours, you welcome death."

He adds, "I've been married a couple times now, so it takes a lot to scare me now."

Here's how the stars are stepping up to help fight the spread of Ebola.
