In Thursday evening's all-new episode, contestant Howard "Woody" Carter is reduced to tears as the one-year anniversary of his wife's death looms, and the moment had the show's trainers emotional all over again when they watched the clip on our ET stage.

"As I think about our past I think about everything," Woody says in our clip. "How she looked in my bed. How she looked in my eyes -- that worrisome look, man...funeral. It's unfair, man. Why is it so unfair?"

Jennifer commented on the clip, telling ET's Kevin Frazier, "I love that man, and he's just such a testament to me. He sets an example of what the human spirit can do. It's why we do it, because everybody connects to what's going on."

On a lighter note, Kevin called Jessie out for auditioning for the role of Christian Grey in the upcoming steamy film adaptation of E.L. James' novel, Fifty Shades of Grey, which opens Valentine's Day.

"I did audition for it but that is where it stopped," Jessie admitted. "I don't know how I would look in leather bondage."

Kevin also turned over a stone in Jennifer's past, calling her out for her one season on American Gladiators in 2008.

"That was my uniform," Jennifer said, looking at an old photo. "You're welcome, America."

The Biggest Loser airs Thursdays at 8/7c on NBC.
