Protests are currently going on around the country in response to a grand jury decision Wednesday to not indict NYPD officer Daniel Pantaleo, who in July, put Eric Garner, an unarmed black man, in an apparent chokehold. Garner died during the confrontation in Staten Island.

The incident between Garner and the police was videotaped, with footage of Garner repeatedly saying, "I can't breathe," causing widespread outrage in New York City and beyond.

The decision comes just a week after jurors in Missouri decided not to charge another white police officer, Darren Wilson, after he fatally shot Michael Brown, an unarmed black teenager.

"I honestly don't know what to say," Jon Stewart said during his opening of The Daily Show Wednesday. "If comedy is tragedy plus time, I need more f*cking time ... but I would really settle for less f*cking tragedy, to be honest with you."

"We are definitely not living in a post-racial society, and I can imagine there are a lot of people out there wondering how much of a society we're living in at all," he added.

Stewart was just one among many celebs to react to the grand jury's decision. Below are more stars who were ultimately let down by the law's inaction.
