The 56-year-old actor set the Internet ablaze with the recreation of his iconic dance scene from Footloose on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The original idea, Bacon admitted, was much simpler than what came to be.

"I actually pitched to Fallon the idea of doing something around Footloose," Bacon told ET. "I thought it would be something much simpler, like I would teach Fallon how to do a small step or something. They took it with their amazing machine over there and spun it into this really complicated thing."

Today, the video has more than 16 million views on YouTube.

While his dance moves remain the same, there have been changes in the Golden Globe winner's life. Currently, he's shooting the third season of Fox's The Following.

In last season's cliffhanger, Bacon's Ryan Hardy let his serial killer archenemy Joe Carroll (James Purefoy) escape death. So what happens now?

"The secret is to never listen to television interviews from celebrities on how to stay married," Bacon joked.
