GLAAD Media Award Nominees: 'Transparent,' 'The Imitation Game' & More

Transparentcontinues its run as one of TV’s most celebrated programs of 2014.
On Wednesday, the Amazon series became one of the many nominees for the 26th annual GLAAD Media Awards. The news follows the two wins at the Golden Globes and five Dorian Awards from the Gay & Lesbian Entertainment Critics Association.

The GLAAD Media Awards, which recognizes accurate and inclusive LGBT representation, honors achievements on both the small and big screen. And this year, GLAAD expanded its TV categories to include 10 nominees for both comedy and drama to represent the significant increase of LGBT images seen by viewers.
In addition to Transparent, new shows, including How to Get Away With Murder, Looking, Sirens, and Vicious, were nominated in both Outstanding Series categories.
On the film side, The Imitation Game picks up a nomination for Outstanding Film – Wide Release. The Oscar-nominated film will go up against Love Is Strange, Pride, The Skeleton Twins, and Tammy.
