Cut Eva Mendes some slack.
The 40-year-old Hitch actress presented at the Hollywood Stands Up To Cancer event presented by the Entertainment Industry Foundation on Wednesday night, where she had a bit of trouble reading the teleprompter on-stage.
Luckily, she has a very good excuse.
"I'm sorry, go back -- you guys got it, right?" Eva said after the little hiccup. "I just had a baby. I haven't slept. I'm sorry!"
She's of course referring to her daughter with Ryan Gosling, Esmeralda Amada, whom she gave birth to in September.

NEWS: 9 Reasons Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling Are Awesome Together
Eva was at the star-studded event alongside Robert Downey Jr. and Matthew McConaughey to give support to her brother Carlos, who she gave a sweet shout-out to while on-stage.
"Each one of us here tonight, are here in this room because someone in our family, or someone close to us, has been affected by this insidious disease," she said. "Tonight I'm here with my family -- my brother Carlos who I love so much -- he had treatment today, and we weren't sure if he was going to be feeling up to it, so I'm so happy he made it, and I love you."
Between gifts from major donors and ticket sales, more than $16 million was pledged in connection with the 2015 Stand Up To Cancer event to fund the organization's research.
