Ricardo Medina Jr. is behind bars after an alleged altercation with his roommate Joshua Sutter turned fatal.
The 36-year-old former Power Rangers star is being held on $1 million bail, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's officials told ABC news, on suspicion of stabbing Sutter, 36, to death in their shared Palmdale, Calif. apartment.
Deputy Juanita Navarro-Suarez said that Medina and Sutter got into an argument around 4 p.m. on Saturday that escalated into a physical fight. Medina is said to have left the altercation and locked himself in his room with his girlfriend, but Sutter pried the door open. Medina then allegedly picked up a sword in his room and stabbed Sutter once in the abdomen.
According to ABC News, Medina called 911 himself following the alleged stabbing, and waited for first responders to arrive. He is due in court on Tuesday in Lancaster, Calif.
Medina is perhaps best known for his role as Red Lion Wild Force Ranger in the Power Rangers Wild Force TV series in 2002. He was also the voice of Deker for both the Power Rangers Samurai TV show and video game.
