All it takes is one person to light a fire and inspire you.

For Naomi Campbell, her friend and fashion designer Diane Von Furstenberg convinced her not to give up on the acting world in the much-talked about series Empire.

The 44-year-old supermodel revealed to Vogue, "I've known [creator] Lee [Daniels] for a long time but when he asked me to play the role, I wasn't sure. I'd given up on acting."

It was then that Von Furstenberg gave her these words of advice, "Give it one more try, go out there and own it!"

Words everyone should live by!

In the hit Fox show, Campbell took on the guest role of Camilla Marks, one of Hakeem's (Bryshere Y. Gray) older lovers, and she stood out with her line on Feb. 18, "What is bae?" Clearly, Naomi took her friend’s words to heart and owns the role as Camilla — she is not someone you want to mess with!
