In spring of 2012, rocker James Righton gave the actress a 2-carat brilliant-cut solitaire diamond ring, which holds an estimated price tag of $40,000. The following May, the pair said their "I Do's" during a low-key ceremony in France.
3.02-carat - Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi
The Jersey Shore stars got engaged in early 2012 when Jionni LaValle proposed to Snooki with a 3.02-carat princess-cut diamond ring. Reportedly valued at $55,000, the ring includes a custom-built band adorned with 2-carats of diamonds. The pair later got married during a Great Gatsby-themed ceremony in New Jersey that aired on the final episode of Snooki & JWOWW.
3.5-carat - Miley Cyrus
In 2012, Liam Hemsworth asked his Last Song co-star to marry him with a 3.5-carat cushion-cut diamond ring created by Neil Lane. The two later broke off their engagement, and Miley has reportedly since lost the ring, which is valued at over $100,000.
4-carat - Reese Witherspoon
The Academy Award-winning actress received a gorgeous 4-carat Ashoka-cut diamond ring set on a pavé diamond-and-platinum band from Hollywood agent Jim Toth in late 2010. The couple recently celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary.
The actress married Ben Affleck in 2005, after he proposed to her with a 4.5-carat cushion-cut diamond. The couple, parents to daughters Violet and Seraphina and son Samuel, have been battling breakup rumors as of late, just as their 10th anniversary approaches later this month.
5-carat - Mila Kunis
After nearly two years of dating, Ashton Kutcher proposed to his former That '70s Show co-star with a minimalist-style engagement ring -- but there's nothing minimal about that diamond! Estimated to be 5 carats, the ring is likely worth upwards of $260,000. The two haven’t officially admitted to being married yet, but Mila's ring finger tells another story.
6-carat - Lady Gaga
Earlier this year, Taylor Kinney proposed to the pop star with a massive heart-shaped diamond designed by Lorraine Schwartz. Shortly after the engagement, Lady Gaga posted a photo of the ring, estimated at 6-carats, on Instagram captioned, "He gave me his heart on Valentine's Day, and I said YES!"
7-carat - Blake Lively
Ryan Reynolds gave the Age of Adaline actress a beautiful 7-carat pink oval diamond set in rose gold. The $2 million ring received a matching band when Blake and Ryan exchanged vows in the fall of 2012.
Actor Justin Theroux popped the question back in August 2012 with an estimated 8-carat radiant-cut diamond, but the actors have yet to officially tie the knot.
8.5-carat - Jennifer Lopez
Marc Anthony proposed to the platinum-selling artist with an 8.5-carat blue diamond ring, which is reportedly worth $4 million -- quite a step up from the 6.1-carat pink Harry Winston diamond that Ben Affleck gave J.Lo in 2002. The singers separated in 2011 and officially divorced three years later.
Back in August 2012, Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger popped the question to Avril with a 14-carat pear-shaped diamond ring. The Canadian crooners married a year later in the south of France. For their one-year anniversary, Chad reportedly gifted his wife with another diamond ring -- a 17-carat emerald cut!
15-carat - Kim Kardashian
Kanye West proposed to the stylish reality star in front of family and friends with a flawless 15-carat cushion-cut diamond ring, estimated to be worth more than the 20-carat ring Kim received from Kris Humphries in 2011. Kimye later exchanged vows in Florence, Italy, and the high-profile pair recently celebrated their first anniversary of marriage.
16-carat - Angelina Jolie
After dating for seven years, Brad Pitt proposed to Angelina with a unique 16-carat table-cut sparkler, which has an estimated value of $500,000. The duo later held their wedding ceremony at Chateau Miraval in France.
17-carat - Mariah Carey
The "Infinity" singer received a $2.5 million Jacob & Co. engagement ring from Nick Cannon in 2008, and the famous duo were married mere weeks after becoming engaged. Flanked by 58 pink diamonds, the 17-carat emerald-cut pink center diamond boasts two half-moon gems on each side. Six years later, the couple separated, and they're currently going through a very public split.
18-carat - Beyoncé
The music mogul popped the question to the Grammy Award-winning songstress with a Lorraine Schwartz-designed 18-carat sparkler valued at over $5 million. The power couple later exchanged vows during an intimate New York City ceremony in April 2008 and now have a three-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy.
Originally purchased for Princess Diana in 1981, Kate Middleton's engagement ring is now worth $500,000 and features a 12-carat sapphire surrounded by 14 diamonds -- perfectly fit for a princess! Proud parents to 22-month-old Prince George and newborn Princess Charlotte, Kate and Prince William recently celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary.
24-carat - Paris Hilton
In 2005, Paris Hilton received a massive 24-carat canary diamond ring from Greek shipping heir and socialite Paris Latsis. The rock was valued at $4.7 million, but money doesn't buy love -- the same-named couple called off their wedding four months later.
Bonus: Victoria Beckham
When David Beckham first proposed to the former Spice Girl in 1998, he did so with a modest (by celebrity standards) 3-carat marquise-cut diamond on a yellow band. Since then, Victoria has upgraded to a collection of 13 engagement rings from the soccer star, including a pear-shaped diamond that is estimated to be between 15- and 17-carats.
