Patrick Dempsey Remembers 'Can't Buy Me Love' Co-star Amanda Peterson

Patrick Dempsey gave a touching tribute to his on-screen '80s love interest, Amanda Peterson, after her sudden passing.

Dempsey and Peterson starred in the 1987 romantic comedy Can't Buy Me Love, and on Tuesday, the former Grey's Anatomy star tweeted that he plans to remember his co-star as she was back then.

"In my memory, she will always be vibrant and young," he wrote. "Gone too soon. Sending my thoughts and prayers to Amanda's family."

Peterson was found dead at age 43 in her Greeley, Colorado home. "This was not, in any way, a drug thing," the actress' mom Sylvia told ET.

Sylvia also spoke with ET about her last moments with her daughter, saying she was in "good spirits." 

Her death is currently under investigation and a basic toxicology test has been conducted.
