The ET host opened up on Facebook recently, sharing a story about her Aunt Ellen who had Down Syndrome and was often not treated with respect and inclusion despite being a wonderful, loving person.

"Because of Best Buddies and the Special Olympics, others like my Aunt Ellen are thriving and living a very fulfilling life today. They're given job opportunities and the chance to develop wonderful friendships. And, with the Special Olympics, they are given a chance to compete with other athletes from all over the world," Nancy shared. "I am honored to be a Good Will Ambassador for the Special Olympics and a Co-Captain in the Unified Torch relay."
The 2015 Special Olympics World Summer Games kick off July 25 in Los Angeles.
