Once the 41-year-old daredevil reached his destination at the top of the crane -- overlooking Hollywood from around 100 feet in the sky, he began inflating a large plastic killer whale named Shammy, which had the words "SeaWorld Sucks" written on the side in duct tape.

Steve-O teased the stunt with an Instagram pic of Shammy on Saturday.

While the stunt itself didn't get posted yet to the performer's Facebook, Steve-O's stunt reportedly involved him shooting off fireworks.

Steve-O's final video, which was accompanied by the caption, "Anyone wanna bail me out of jail?" showed the stuntman laughing as he counted the number of police cars, fire engines and rescue vehicles that had arrived on the scene.

According to the Los Angeles Times, more than 80 firefighters were called to the scene after Steve-O's stunt was reported by some on-lookers as a possible suicide attempt. The firefighters on scene built reportedly inflated an "air rescue cushion” in case he fell.

LAPD confirmed to the Los Angeles Times that Steve-O was arrested and expected to be booked on suspicion of trespassing, setting a firework without a permit, and conspiracy to commit a crime.

It appears that the stunt was in same way related to Steve-O's opposition to SeaWorld. Aside from the statement spelled out on the side of his inflatable killer whale, Steve-O was also wearing a Blackfish t-shirt, in reference to the 2013 documentary detailing the alleged mistreatment of killer whales by the aquatic theme park.

Steve-O was also arrested in December for vandalism when he added the word "sucks" after the words "SeaWorld" to a freeway sign in San Diego.
