Welcome back, Celine Dion.

The 47-year-old singing legend took to the stage Thursday night at Caesars Palace's Colosseum in Las Vegas, her first show since taking a year-long break from her Vegas residency. Celine has spent the past year taking care of her husband, 73-year-old Rene Angelil, who is battling throat cancer.

Obviously, the "My Heart Will Go On" singer's fans turned out in droves.

"Thank you for all your love," Celine tweeted after the show. "Tonight was not a new day, tonight was not really a new show. Tonight was a new beginning."

ET recently caught up with Celine, when she revealed that it was actually Rene who pushed her to return to the stage. "We don't know what the future holds," she explained, adding that her husband told her to be "back, strong, [to] do it, still share your passion."

"He's been there for me all my life, and I've been there for him all my life," she added. "There's a part of me that never really left the stage. I wanted to be there but I needed to be someplace else which was much more important at that time. To be by his side. To be by my family."

Celine and Rene have been married since December 1994. They have three children together, 14-year-old Rene-Charles, and 4-year-old twins Eddy and Nelson.
