EXCLUSIVE: Amy Duggar Preps For Her Wedding With Family & Friends, No Josh Duggar in Sight

The big day is almost here!

Amy Duggar is counting down the hours until her wedding to Dillon King, preparing for the big day surrounded by her mom and close friends. However, there is one noticeable member of the tightknit clan missing: Josh Duggar.

The DIY bride has been busy setting up the wedding, which will take place in Northwest Arkansas on Sunday, with friends and family. She spent all day Saturday with a big smile on her face, keeping everyone's spirits up.

It's an unusual role for the bride, but the Duggar family's spirits have taken a hit lately due to the scandals surrounding her first cousin, Josh Duggar, who will not be present at the wedding. "That's the way it should be," a source close to the family tell ET.

Instead of focusing on the drama surrounding the Duggar clan, Amy's wedding day will be focused on love and positivity. "Everything with Josh was like a death in the family," the source tells ET. "They're hoping Amy's wedding day can be an escape -- a much-needed day of happiness."

Amy has been itching to distance herself from Josh's recent scandals and take on her fiancé Dillon's last name. In fact, her Instagram profile reads, "I won't be Duggar much longer! Just a normal girl with a not so normal life!"

Not only is she a non-traditional Duggar, but the 28-year-old aspiring country singer is also a non-traditional bride. Amy and Dillon's nuptials will not feature flower girls, and there will be a DJ and dancing, as well as a bar that will be stocked with alcohol.

A full-alcohol bar is not a familiar sight at a Duggar wedding, and everyone has been working hard to make sure Amy's extended family will feel comfortable at the reception. One of those precautions included setting up a "water bar," with drinks like watermelon-infused flavored water.

There will also be dozens of kids at the wedding, which should keep the day lighthearted and drama-free. The real party will also start after the extended family leaves, as they won't stay all night.

In addition, the bride is planning on having a cake and dessert table at the venue, which will be decorated in her chosen colors of rose, gold and navy as well as sparkles, glitter and candles.

And Amy, being the non-traditional bride that she is, won't be leaving in a car. The bride and groom plan to surprise guests with their exit after the wedding!

"She really wants this to be about love and the future," the source said of Amy's hopes for Sunday. "No one is quite sure how Anna will be or how long she'll stay, but this day is about support and positivity."

The soon-to-be-newlyweds got engaged just weeks ago in July, and Amy has been celebrating the countdown to her big day with a series of social media posts.
