Blake Lively took to Instagram on Thursday to thank fans for their support in the wake of the announcement that her lifestyle brand Preserve would be shutting down on Oct. 9.

"Thank you guys for your support every step of the way in the @preserve_us adventure," the actress captioned a pic of her trooping through the woods for a Preserve photoshoot. "I couldn't be more grateful!! One day I'll stop wearing so many hats ....but ...I'll probably be dead by then, so... ???☺️"

"I'm just doin' what mama taught me," Lively continued. "She's my idol. Who's yours?"

The actress concluded her message with a slew of emoji and a hashtag that asks a question we’ve all had at some point or another, "#WhyIsThereNoEmojiForSpiceGirlsGirlPowerFingers?!!!"

Lively announced her plans to shut down Preserve in an interview with Vogue this week, admitting that her initial plans for the lifestyle brand -- which focused on small-batch artisanal products -- were perhaps too ambitious.

"We have an incredible team of people who do beautiful work, but we launched the site before it was ready, and it never caught up to its original mission," she admitted. "It's not making a difference in people's lives, whether superficially or in a meaningful way."

The actress and new mom -- Lively and husband Ryan Reynolds welcomed daughter James in December 2014 -- said she’s already got a new company in the works, and she hopes that the new venture will be more successful.

"I know what it'll look like, what I'm facing publicly, that people are just going to have a heyday with this," she said. "But it's so much worse to continue to put something out there -- to ask my team to put something out there -- that isn't the best we can do. I'm going to take this hit, and the only way I can prove all the negative reactions wrong is to come back with a plan that will rock people."
