So he was obviously conceived before Sebastian's tragic death, but we still have A LOT of questions…

In the potential series, Casey discovers his father's journal, where he learns of Sebastian's former fortune. Determined to uncover more about his family's history that he never knew about until now, he leaves Kansas to attend Brighton Preparatory Academy in San Francisco. Much like his father, he becomes entangled in a world of sex, money and power.

The film's original writer and director, Roger Kumble, will reportedly direct the pilot and co-write the series, with help from producer Neal H. Moritz and executive producers Lindsey Rosin and Jordan Ross, who were responsible for The Unauthorized Musical Parody of Cruel Intentions.

Earlier this month, ET caught up with Gellar, where she revealed she's still great friends with the cast, most notably Witherspoon, because their sons have become besties.
