'Modern Family' Star Reid Ewing Comes Out As Gay: 'I Was Never In'
Just days after Modern Family actor Reid Ewing opened up about his battle with body dysmorphia, he candidly revealed on his Twitter page that he is gay.
Ewing, 27, best known as Sarah Hyland’s character’s loveable ex-boyfriend Dylan, commented on a Good Morning America segment about his plastic surgery addiction on Twitter.

Ewing simply replied, @MichaelJMapes I was never in.”
He then tweeted a meme featuring a pleasantly surprised Marilyn Monroe, captioning it “When you’re told there is another gay coming to the party.”
The star seems less than impressed that the attention he’s getting from revealing his sexuality is taking away from his intended focus to educate about body dysmorphia.

In his essay for The Huffington Post, he recalled waking up from a painful cosmetic surgery in 2008.
"I woke up screaming my head off from pain, with tears streaming down my face," Ewing wrote. "The doctor kept telling me to calm down, but I couldn't. I couldn't do anything but scream, while he and his staff tried seemingly to hold back their laughter."
