"Nothing is over!"

Fox is developing a new series based on the 1980s movie franchise, Rambo, and star Sylvester Stallone is already attached as an executive producer.

According to Deadline, who first reported the news, the series is entitled Rambo: New Blood and will focus on the relationship between John Rambo and his adult son J.R., a former Navy Seal who has not appeared in any of the four Rambo movies.

Surprisingly, this is not the first time that Rambo has fought his way to the small screen. The franchise previously got the animated series treatment with the 1986 syndicated series Rambo: The Force of Freedom.

As of now, it's not clear if Stallone will once again step into the titular role of Rambo, or if the character will be re-cast.

We personally think Stallone would be crazy not to reprise the character. Given the huge box office success of Creed, in which the 69-year-old actor returns as Rocky Balboa, it's clear that audiences love seeing the '80s icon back on their screens.
