Jennifer Lawrence and Joan Rivers may have made some digs at each other when the comedian was alive, but upon meeting Melissa Rivers, the actress says that was all water under the bridge.
In November 2013, during a Q&A with Yahoo employees, Lawrence slammed Joan's show, Fashion Police, which her daughter is now co-hosting.
"There are shows like The Fashion Police that are just showing these generations of young people to judge people based on all the wrong values and that it's OK to point at people and call them ugly or fat," she proclaimed. "They call it 'fun' and they say 'welcome to the real world' -- and that shouldn't be the real world, it's going to continue being the real world if we keep it that way. We have to stop treating each other like that and stop calling each other fat."
After Lawrence's choice words about the program, Joan told The New York Post in December 2013, "My New Year's resolution is [ensuring] Jennifer Lawrence grows up and realizes how lucky she is and calms down."

On Monday's Watch What Happens Live, the Oscar winner admitted that she was nervous to meet Joan's only daughter when they were both filming Joy. Melissa portrays her late mother in the movie.
"I wondered if it was going to be uncomfortable," Lawrence told host Andy Cohen. "I really do love Joan Rivers. She's had such an incredible life and is an unbelievable woman. I just am very opinionated, too."
The 25-year-old actress decided to approach the situation with lots of kindness. "I don't think we would have had a beef had we [me and Joan] met," she explained. "So, I said that to [Melissa], and [was] complimentary of her mom, and kind of got it out of the way immediately. And then it wasn't [uncomfortable]."

When Melissa was on Howard Stern's Sirius XM radio show in May, she admitted that she too felt uneasy about meeting The Hunger Games leading lady. "I just had an amazing experience with Jennifer Lawrence who, at the end, was quite publicly against Fashion Police and something that had been said," she shared. "We were in a very personal situation and I was like, 'Oh my god, it's going to be a horrible evening.'"
The 47-year-old TV personality recalled that Lawrence was very complimentary of her mother. "She comes up to me and she says, 'I know your mom and I had some differences at the end' -- and it wasn't even over something that she said -- 'but I got to tell you I loved her and she was funny,'" Joan's daughter recounted.
EXCLUSIVE: Melissa Rivers Reveals Where She Scattered Her Mother Joan Rivers' Ashes
Melissa got quite candid with ET about playing her mother in David O. Russell's new movie, and said that the entire cast, Lawrence included, was "lovely and supportive."
"Jen and I talked for a few minutes and she actually quoted back a couple of her favorite jokes of my mom's to me," she shared.
