Jordan Smith has given new meaning to “ringing” in the New Year!

The Voice
winner kicked off 2016 by proposing to his longtime girlfriend, Kristen Denny, on Friday.

The 22-year-old singer shared the big announcement on social media, writing, "RINGING in the new year with my future wife. She said YES! #Mr&MrsSmith."

The pair looked beyond ecstatic in the engagement pic, which was taken at Boston Public Garden and shows off Denny's beautiful ring.

Denny shared her excitement on her Facebook, adding, "2016…You're definitely my favorite #Engaged #Mr&MrsSmith."

Still reveling in the big day, the bride-to-be later shared a close-up of her new diamond ring. "Yesterday was absolute perfection! Thanks for all the well wishes and sweet messages! I am so incredibly blessed and I can't wait to marry my best friend!" she wrote on Instagram.

One surprising celebrity fan even tweeted at the future husband and wife.

"@JordanSmithLive long live the Smiths," Henry Winkler wrote on Saturday.

Smith has shared a ton of adorable photos of himself and his now-fiance on Instagram, including a mini family photo from their fourth Christmas together and an even sweeter selfie taken on Dec. 19, where the Kentucky native declared that he had "spent the evening with the love my life!"
