While on Big Brother, contestants live in isolation from the outside world. The current season launched in January.
"The decision to remain in the house is entirely her choice, and she has been given the option to leave at any time if she changes her mind," the show added. "Appropriate support will be available to Angie at any time if needed."
Angie was married to David from 1970–1980, and they have a son together, 44-year-old film director Duncan Jones.
The 66-year-old actress met David in 1969 when she was 19. They were married on March 19, 1970 at Bromley Register Office in Beckenham Lane, London. Angie also appeared as herself in the musician's 1973 film Ziggy Stardust. It is said that she is the inspiration behind the late singer's hit songs "The Prettiest Star," "Golden Years" and "Cracked Actor."
Upon learning of the music legend's death, Angie and David's son shared a throwback photo of him and his father. "Very sorry and sad to say it's true," Duncan tweeted. "I'll be offline for a while. Love to all."
