Yolanda Foster Files for Divorce From David Foster

Yolanda Foster has officially filed for divorce from David Foster.

In the documents obtained by ET, Yolanda cites “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce and is seeking spousal support and legal fees from her ex.

The pair, who married in November 2011, announced their split in early December.

"Sadly we have decided to go our separate ways," the couple told ET in a joint statement at the time. "We've shared nine beautiful and joyous years together. During that time we experienced love, friendship and the inevitable challenges that come with managing a marriage, careers, blended families and health issues."

"We are grateful for the years we've spent together and believe wholeheartedly that we did our best,” the statement continued. "We hope that we can pave the road ahead of us with all we've learned and with the love and respect we will always have for one another."

Meanwhile, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star turned 52 on Monday, and spent the day with her family, including daughter Gigi Hadid. Both Gigi and sister Bella shared sweet birthday messages to their mom on Instagram.

“Happy birthday to my best friend and guardian angel,” Bella wrote. “Thank you for being the beautiful light and soul, in not only my life, but every single person in your path. You know how much I love you ❤️ @yolandahfoster.”

David, 66, spoke at Natalie Cole’s memorial service on Monday, and joked about how the singer would often rib him about his relationship past. Yolanda was the legendary music producer’s fourth wife.

"Her advice to me sometimes centered around my many marriages," the music producer said of his late friend at the service, adding that after several "Natalie-bashings," he reminded the singer that "her track record in the marriage department was not that great."
