Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent are opening up about their experience welcoming their daughter, Poppy Brent-Berkus, in March.
The couple recently sat down with Oprah Winfrey for her show, Oprah: Where Are They Now?, and in ET's exclusive clip, they talk about the benefits of surrogacy.
"One of the biggest gifts of surrogacy in our experience is we really had the opportunity and the space around us to have a conversation that needed to be had -- how we wanted to raise the baby, what expectations we did or didn't have for her as a person, as a being who was coming into the world," Brent says.

Although Berkus, 44, has a much less serious answer.
"The second thing I think is so amazing about surrogacy is tequila, 'cause you can drink it right up till when the baby is born," he jokes. "We drink it at 5 o'clock every night now."
"Our pregnant girlfriends are like, 'We hate you,'" Brent laughs.
On a more serious note, the two are clearly loving being parents to their adorable baby girl.
"Her little face is the highlight of every single day," Berkus recently gushed on Instagram.
And the two interior designers are now finding ways to work together too. Berkus will be a guest on OWN's Home Made Simple -- which Brent hosts -- on Saturday, Jan. 23 at 9 a.m. ET/PT. The couple's Oprah: Where Are They Now? episode will also air that same day, at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
