The show, which aired on a Monday (as opposed to 2015's Sunday broadcast) and ran live on both coasts, pulled in 24.82 million viewers, while last year's show had a viewership of 25.3 million.

Despite the fact that last night's telecast was the first time since 2010 that the GRAMMYs delivered an audience less than 24 million, the awards show can still take comfort in knowing that it remains the second highest-rated show after the Oscars.
