Juliette Lewis Unhappy 'Beloved' Father, Geoffrey Lewis, Snubbed by Oscars In Memoriam Tribute

The actress called his omission an 'obvious oversight' by the Academy.

Juliette Lewis was not happy that her late father, actor Geoffrey Lewis, was left out of the Oscars' In Memoriam tribute on Sunday night.

"I know @TheAcademy didn't mean to overlook my dad #GeoffreyLewis in the memorium [sic]. who was beloved by so many," the Natural Born Killers actress tweeted

"It was an obvious oversite [sic] not mentioning my father #GeoffreyLewis beloved by all. At the end of the day its just a tv show," she added.

Lewis' father had more than 200 film and television credits to his name, including in several Clint Eastwood westerns. 

Every year, the In Memoriam tribute tends to attract controversy. Last year, it was the apparent snubbing of Joan Rivers that made headlines.
