Blink and you’ll miss it! Though this spring has been all about the face-off between heroes Superman and Batman, this summer will be devoted to the baddies of the Suicide Squad. At Sunday’s MTV Movie Awards, a brand new trailer from the upcoming action flick premiered that featured the Caped Crusader for the first time.
In the new clip, Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Enchantress (Cara Delevingne), Deadshot (Will Smith), The Joker (Jared Leto), Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney), Slipknot (Adam Beach), and more are enlisted for a secret task force to use their powers for good.

But these notorious villains can’t help but break a few rules. Luckily, Batman’s there to keep order … well, hopefully.
The superhero, played by Ben Affleck, makes a few split-second cameos in the new trailer. In one shot he is seen carrying Harley Quinn back to the Batmobile, then he’s clinging to the top of the Joker’s car as it races down the street. He’s also spotted leaping off a bridge as his cape flaps in the wind behind him.

Affleck recently debuted his rendition of Batman in the film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which performed well at the box office, but received mixed reviews from critics.

"Zack [Snyder] came to me and said, 'I want you to do this Batman [movie],' and I said, 'I don't think I'm really right for this,'" Affleck recently recalled on The Graham Norton Show. "[Snyder] said, 'No, no, no! That's not it. He's completely broken down, he's older, he's falling apart and on the verge of moral bankruptcy! You're perfect for it!'”

Despite Batman’s appearances, the upcoming sure-to-be-blockbuster is clearly not about the DC Comic hero. This one is all about the villains.
Suicide Squad hits theaters August 5. Watch the new trailer now!
