Christina Grimmie's friends, family and celebrity colleagues are mourning the late singer.
Upon hearing that The Voice alum died at age 22 after being shot following her concert in Orlando, Florida, on Friday, Grimmie's longtime manager, Brian Teefey, created a GoFundMe account in her honor.

If Teefey's name sounds familiar, it's because he is Selena Gomez's stepfather (he married Gomez's mother, Mandy, in 2006). Grimmie was close with Gomez and her family, even touring with the "Hands to Myself" singer in 2011 as part of the We Own the Night Tour.
"Words cannot begin to describe the pain I am feeling," Teefey's message read. "I learned this business through the eyes of a father and Christina was like a second daughter to me. All I wanted to do was assist her in achieving her musical dreams while protecting her from the pitfalls associated with the business. I never could have imagined this horrific event being one of the pitfalls needing to be avoided."
Teefey went on to explain that he wanted to use the GoFundMe page in order to assist Grimmie's family in their time of need. "As family Mother, Father, and Brother made the ultimate family sacrifice to support Christina on her musical journey," he wrote. "They did nothing but love her and support her as family the best they knew how, the only worry I want them to have at this point is that of recovery."

"Grimms I love you, and miss you beyond comprehension," Teefey concluded his note, signing both his name and LH7 Management.
Within the first 16 hours of its creation, the account already raised $37,200, and the page was shared approximately 5500 times.
Gomez echoed her stepdad's sweet sentiments, taking to Twitter to share a black-and-white snap of her late friend and tourmate.
"My heart is absolutely broken," she captioned it. "I miss you Christina."

As ET previously reported, Grimmie was performing at the Plaza Live with pop-rock band Before You Exit. According to the Orlando Police Department, the show ended around 10 p.m. ET, and Grimmie and her band stayed to sign autographs for fans. She was shot by a 27-year-old white male, identified as Kevin James Loibl, from another region of Florida who traveled to Orlando to commit the crime.
