Who Did Tom Hiddleston Romance Before Taylor Swift? From Elizabeth Olsen to Jessica Chastain, Take a Look Back

Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston were photographed "all over each other" on a not-so-secluded beach in Rhode Island earlier this week. The shots were, to say the least, unexpected. And not just because Swift broke up with Calvin Harris approximately one second ago.

It's been well documented who the 26-year-old pop star has dated in the past -- by tabloids, her legions of fans, and herself, via the art of music. Her long list of ex-lovers includes Harris, Harry Styles, Joe Jonas, Jake Gyllenhaal, etcetera, so on and so forth. Hiddleston, 35, has never had a high profile romance.

Never! Not once! Based on confirmed, 100 percent-happened relationships, the Avengers actor has dated...

Nobody.

But let's break down everyone he is rumored to have romanced before snogging Swift.

Elizabeth Olsen

The two starred as lovers in last year's Hank Williams biopic, I Saw the Light, and were rumored to have had something going on behind-the-scenes, too. Olsen played coy to ET, saying, "Honestly, those kind of rumors, to me, that's like, 'Well, that's a bunch of strangers saying a bunch of stuff that they don't know about. Some of them really care."

Jessica Chastain

Hiddleston was linked to Chastain before they starred -- as siblings -- in Crimson Peak. Evidence: He attended her 37th karaoke birthday party in 2013. Though it could all chalk up to friendship, seeing as she said around that same time that she doesn't date actors.

"No actors," she told InStyle U.K. in 2013. "I have dated an actor before, at Juilliard, but since then, I've only been on a couple of dates with one, and I was so freaked out someone was going to take a picture of us, because they were famous."

Jane Arthy

This supposed relationship seemingly started with a Wimbledon outing and a stray tweet by Elle U.K.'s editor-in-chief, who said, "I sat next to actor Tom Hiddlestone and his girlfriend Jane #wimbledonfinal. He's a very funny man." (IT'S HIDDLESTON.)

"I understand the curiosity," Hiddleston told GQ U.K. in 2013 when asked if he's dating the record exec. "One day I hope when there's really something to write home about, then I'll be able to talk."

Kat Dennings

Dennings and Loki himself -- kind of -- co-starred in Thor in 2011. They didn't have any scenes together. So, it raised some eyebrows when they were spotted holding hands on the red carpet of a SyFy party at Comic-Con that year. And that's about it and now she's dating Josh Groban.

Susannah Fielding

Though Hiddleston never explicitly spoke about the relationship, this one was most certainly legit! Also, it was all the way back in 2008 when they reportedly met on the set of the BBC series, Wallander. As for why things didn't last, it's thought that his career got in the way.

"Acting just demands everything and if you don't give it everything, there will be someone behind you who will," he told The Daily Mail shortly after the former couple was thought to have split.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift is re-embroiled in Kanye West-related controversy, with Kim Kardashian accusing the singer of lying about not approving Yeezy's infamous "Famous" lyric "just to play the victim."
