The 41-year-old singer and mom breaks down her new single.

As a mother herself, Fergie understands that moms can use a pick-me-up from time to time -- which is exactly what she's trying to do with her new single, "M.I.L.F $."

The 41-year-old singer says her latest track and sexy music video featuring the likes of Chrissy Teigen, Alexandra Ambrosio, Gemma Ward, Devon Aoki, Kim Kardashian, and the newly-married Ciara, is meant to liberate her fellow mothers.

"This is definitely empowering moms to have fun," Fergie told the Associated Press. "Being a mom and having a career, taking care of yourself and still being able to be flirty and fun and a little naughty sometimes — there's nothing wrong with that."

The GRAMMY winner, who married actor Josh Duhamel in 2009 and welcomed son Axl Jack Duhamel in 2013, added that while  "society tries to tell moms what they should and shouldn't be," her video is a way of breaking free from those barriers. "It’s just a little freeing to have fun with pushing those limits a bit," she said. "I might do it a little bit more than others, but that's just who I am."

Fergie's latest jam has reportedly been in the works for three years, and based on the initial response, "M.I.L.F. $," was certainly worth the wait. Besides quickly trending on Facebook and Twitter, the music video has garnered more than 22 million views on YouTube, and the track peaked at No. 2 on the iTunes singles chart.

On the subject of the "insanely beautiful" fellow celebrity moms in the video, Fergie noted that everything was filmed with a "laugh and a wink," and toyed with the idea of releasing an extended version. "There's so much more content that we shot ... that we're just going to keep probably presenting it to everyone. I think 'M.I.L.F.' will probably have its own babies."

So what does Axl (arguably her biggest and littlest fan) think of mom’s new music? He loves it of course. "Whenever we put on music with a really good beat, he starts dancing and he does this little bounce and we call him 'the dancing guy.'"

Fergie also shared an adorable story of her 2-year-old son meeting Kim K. for the first time. Naturally, he only knew the uber-famous reality star as North West's mom.

"He met Kim as Nori's mom," she explained. "So when he first saw her, he said, 'Is that Nori's mom?'"
