In between judging America's up-and-coming talent on the NBC show, Tomlinson managed to have a mini heart-to-heart with fellow judge Mel B on Wednesday.
The 24-year-old singer became father to son Freddie Reign, with his now ex-girlfriend, Briana Jungwirth, in January, and according to him, his life has been changed for the better. In a Vine video posted by the show, Tomlinson revealed what he really thinks about being a dad.
"I mean, I didn't think I'd be having a kid at this age, but it is incredible," Tomlinson told the former Spice Girl.
Tomlinson is definitely a proud papa, and this isn't the first time he's gushed over his son. In February, the British singer attended the 2016 Brit Awards and opened up for the first time about Freddie.
"It's great! I'm still getting used to it, obviously," Tomlinson told Capital FM at the time. "It's my first time away from him so I miss him, obviously, but it's cool. I do get Father's Day now."
He also revealed what he wanted the little guy’s first word to be. "It's a tough question because the immaturity is just pushing through there but -- dad!" Tomlinson admitted.
Despite all of the positives about becoming a father, Tomlinson has had to deal with a big issue involving his new girlfriend, Danielle Campbell, and his ex. Earlier this month, Jungwirth blasted Campbell on social media and made it known that she was NOT Freddie's mum.
