Katherine Heigl
is addressing recent comments Seth Rogen made over the Knocked Up controversy.

In a 2008 interview with Vanity Fair, Heigl revealed that she thought Judd Apatow's movie -- in which she and Rogen played an unlikely couple -- was "a little bit sexist," and that it painted "the women as shrews, as humorless and uptight” and depicted “the men as lovable, goofy, fun-loving guys."

Earlier this week, Rogen admitted during a chat on Howard Stern’s Sirius XM radio show that Heigl’s comment caught him off guard and that he felt “betrayed.”

"I respect the fact that maybe that perhaps she realizes it has hurt her career,” Rogen said, adding that she hadn’t apologized to him or Apatow for her remarks. “I don’t want that to have happened to her at all because I’ve said a thousand stupid things, and I really like her."

Following the Television Critics Association session for her new CBS drama Doubt, Heigl was asked to comment on Rogen’s remarks.

“I think that he’s handled that so beautifully and I just feel nothing but love and respect,” the 37-year-old actress told a small group of reporters. “It’s so long ago at this point, I just wish him so much goodness and I felt that from him too.”

Heigl reflected on the piece of advice she felt has resonated with her throughout her career and it was illuminating.

"Probably not to take myself too seriously, and that's I think an age thing. You kind of get there with age," Heigl said. "Your 20s are all so narcissistic in that way that you think that everyone is judging you and everyone's thinking about all the things you do wrong. I think you get to an age where you're like, 'I don't care. I'll be fine as long as my family loves me.'"

Heigl, who is expecting a baby boy in January with her husband Josh Kelley, was barely showing at TCA, looking chic and elegant in a white sleeveless, studded shift dress. She joked after the session that she’s been pitching several objects for the producers and prop department to use to hide her growing baby bump, including plants!

In July, Heigl was spotted on the set of Doubtin Los Angeles, hiding her barely-there bump in a navy blouse and knee-length black skirt.

"We've known for a while that we wanted to add to our family and frankly didn’t really care how we chose to do that," the former Grey's Anatomy star wrote in June of her pregnancy. "We were considering adoption again, fostering, or pregnancy if possible. Seeing as I have never been pregnant and as my OB/GYN reminded me last year, I'm of advanced maternal age, I wasn't sure pregnancy was even in the cards for us. Turns out it was very much in the cards!"
