Chris Evans can’t even do pushups for a good cause without it turning into the most adorable moment of the week.

On Monday, the Avengers star took the 22-pushup challenge -- a social media movement looking to raise awareness of the disproportionately high suicide rates among veterans in America -- but his dog, Dodger, doesn’t want him to take the challenge alone.

After thanking "all the men and women who serve this country," Evans dropped down onto his mat to take care of the 22 pushups -- which represent the average number of vets who commit suicide every day.

And that's when Dodger makes his debut, staring at Evans as he begins the pushups, and then licking his face and slobbering on Evans' neck as he laughs and tries to push the adorable puppy back, just long enough to finish the challenge.

"Was that 22? I think that was 22," Evans asks Dodger as he finishes the set. "Ugh, I haven't worked out in a while."

Evans, who was nominated for the challenge by John Krasinski, proceeded to nominate his Avengers co-stars Anthony Mackie and Jeremy Renner.

Krasinski completed the challenge earlier on Monday, and was also accompanied by his faithful furry friend, Finn. However, Finn seemed to not have any real interest in his pushup routine. In fact, at one point, the 13 Hours star turned to his pooch and whispered, "Finn, be more adorable!"

Krasinski was nominated by Marvel star Chris Pratt, who teamed up with his wife, Anna Faris, on Friday, to complete the 22-pushup challenge as a couple.

Back in 2014, Pratt took part in another social media campaign, the Ice Bucket Challenge, which aimed to raise awareness and funds for ALS. Check out the video below for a look at some of the best celebrity Ice Bucket Challenge videos.
