We now know the man responsible for Shakira's great genes, thanks to the 39-year-old singer's adorable selfie with her father on his birthday.

"Happy 85th birthday papi!!" she wrote in Spanish alongside a cute father-daughter selfie.
"Thank you everyone for your messages of love and good wishes for my dad on his birthday!" she captioned another pic, signing it, "Muah! Shak."
The Colombian singer hasn’t been shy about her love for her father, crediting him and her mother for the support she needed early in her career.
"I've had to fight against adversity, when everything seemed to be against me," she told ET’s Cameron Mathison in February. "I was a little girl in Barranquilla dreaming really big, dreaming about conquering big stages and becoming a super international pop star, that was unthinkable for someone like me living in Barranquilla and here I am, my family supported me and things happened miraculously. I do believe that dreams can really come true."
It's all about family for the "She Wolf" singer, who also dished on how her Latin roots are being passed down to her sons, 3-year-old Milan, and 1-year-old Sasha.
"Milan, right now, he's a sports fan, he loves playing sports but also watching even American football, he loves watching sports and Sasha, he's the one with the fair skin but he inherited Latin flavor, he really loves dancing," she gushed. "From the moment he started to walk, which was recently, he also started to dance, so we'll see what happens."
"But the important thing is that whatever they do in life, I really hope that they're passionate about that and that they really put intelligent effort to that and commit and become disciplined and responsible and all of that," she added.
