Prepare to do a major double take!

Jessica Simpson shared a new photo of her daughter, Maxwell Drew, on Saturday, and it's practically an optical illusion. We honestly couldn't tell if we were looking at a throwback pic of Jessica or a new Polaroid of Maxi!

"My daughter and I have the same mad face," the mom of two wrote on Instagram, adding the hashtags "#maxidrew" and (our favorite) "#donttellmetosmile."

Seriously, just try to tell us you didn't think that was Jessica at first.

It's hard to believe just how grown up Maxi looks these days! You can tell just how tall she's gotten in a cute photo Jessica shared last month of her 4-year-old lying in the sand.

"I be grounded y'all," the fashion designer captioned the silly snap.

Maxi could be her mother's dopplegänger, but she and her younger brother, 3-year-old Ace Knute, could practically pass as twins these days. The only major difference? Their eye color, as Jessica pointed out when she shared this sweet pic of her kids hugging back in July.

"Brown-eyed man and blue-eyed lady," the proud mom wrote.

When Jessica turned 36 earlier this year, she noted that her proudest accomplishment in life has been her two children. See her sweet sentiment in the video below.
